Multiple World Champion Taxidermist and World Champion Fish Carver Simon T. Blackshaw of the Netherlands recieves the World Show Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2011 World Taxidermy and Fish Carving Championships Awards Banquet on Friday, May 6, 2011 in ST. Charles, Missouri, USA. During a banquet attended by 600, Chairman Larry Blomquist presented Simon with this prestigious award, only the second time it has ever been awarded. After a biographical program, Simon, who could not travel to the USA to receive the award in person, responded with a moving acceptance speech which left virtually the entire audience in tears.
