@edv177 If I … @edv177 If I wanted a shorelunch, or as you say, for survival, I’d still wash/rinse the fillets. You could do that in a stream, lake, river. Just try to get the blood, dark fatty meat, out of the fillets. If you’re not going to eat for awhile, you’d need to keep them cool or cold somehow. If you have a cooler, you could keep them in there too. You could also leave your stringer with the fish on in the cool water and not clean them until just before you’re ready to eat. – Rick

@edv177 It’s a … @edv177 It’s a good question. At the end of the video series, it indicates the care involved in the fillet prior to cooking. I clean them up, soak them overnight in the frig, clean them off again. Then, get them ready for the freezer or to cook. Thanks. – Rick
