This red headed duck group was migrating through Ohio. Identified by its redhead and grey back. Diving for food on a cold morning.

With beautiful plumage and an iridescent red head, the duck equally fond of fresh and salt water. This rare duck is a diving duck, which looks for food beneath the water’s surface.

It is similar to the Canvas back in color, but not as white. The bill is bluish in color.
